WorldStrides Canada’s 2023 Student Photo Contest is finally here!
Send us that breathtaking photo or video of an activity you did that made you say wow. You know, the one you shared with your friends and family to show them how much fun you were having?
We can’t wait to see your tour from your point of view—and give away FOUR exciting prizes for those extra special shots!
ELIGIBILITY
The contest is open to all WorldStrides Canada students (including Explorica, Brightspark, Sports, and Performance Tours) who have travelled with us from February 1 through August 15, 2023.
Program Leaders and chaperones are welcome to submit their content to be featured on our social media, but only students may win the contest.
PHOTO & VIDEO REQUIREMENTS
Not sure what to capture? You can’t go wrong with snaps of you, your friends, your teacher, and your Tour Director that showcase your destination’s unique landscape or culture. Bonus points if they include WorldStrides, Explorica, or Brightspark gear!
If your eyes are really on the prize, follow these suggestions to maximize your winning potential:

The higher the resolution, the better.
- Shoot for 300 DPI or greater in full colour.
- Try to avoid heavily edited, filtered, blurry, or overexposed images.

Opt for experiential photos and videos over posed ones.
- Think candid and authentic, like you and your friends experiencing something specific to the destination you’re visiting.

Keep videos between 30 seconds and a minute.
- Unedited videos are best, with no watermarks from TikTok or other social media.
THE PRIZES
Four winners will be selected—two photo submissions and two video submissions. Each winner will have the choice between these prizes:
- A $250 Amazon Gift Card
- A Canon Ivy CLIQ 2 Instant Camera Printer (valued at $250)
