WorldStrides Canada’s 2025 Photo & Video Contest
The best content comes from living in the moment, and no one does that like our travellers. You’re unmatched when it comes to capturing life-changing moments in real time – and we want to see what you’ve got! It’s time to send in your best shots for a chance to win one of 21 prizes in our annual photo & video contest!
THE PRIZES
Up to Three Monthly Prize Winners will receive a $50 Amazon e-gift card each month of the contest, February through June. (That’s 15 monthly winners total!) Our panel of judges will select a winner from each of three categories:
- Picture us Here: You know you’re going to pose in front of that iconic landmark, so after you take that group photo, submit it for consideration in this category.
- Let us Cook: Whether it’s a cooking class or a dance lesson, there’s always a memory in the making on our tours. Capture those moments for a chance to win in this category.
- Best Teacher Ever: They spent months planning so everyone could have the experience of a lifetime; these submissions will feature students with the teacher who made it all possible.
Up to Six Grand Prize Winners will receive a $150 Amazon e-gift card. Grand Prize winners will be chosen from submissions of "production pieces," including but not limited to edited videos, creative photo collages, and submissions with accompanying narratives about their trip. These winning entries will be selected regardless of category and announced at the end of the contest.
ELIGIBILITY
From February 10 through June 30, 2025, you can enter to win by submitting your best photos or videos from your WorldStrides Canada tour. All tour participants, Program Leaders, and chaperones who travelled with us between September 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025, are eligible to participate.
As a reminder, WorldStrides Canada includes Explorica, Brightspark, Jumpstreet, and Éducatours, so all participants in tours operated by any of these brands, as well as WorldStrides Canada Performing Arts and Sports tours, are eligible (and encouraged!) to enter.
PHOTO & VIDEO REQUIREMENTS
When you take photos and videos on tour, you’re giving us – and future travellers! – a glimpse into what it’s really like to travel with WorldStrides Canada.
The best submissions will include groups of students doing what they do best: learning new things and experiencing the world around them!
In addition, you’ll want to keep these things in mind:
- The higher the resolution, the better! (If you’re working with a smartphone, you’re all set).
- Try to avoid heavily edited, filtered, blurry, or overexposed images and shots.
- Opt for experiential photos and videos over posed ones. We love candids!
- Keep videos between 30-60 seconds.
- No social media watermarks (like from TikTok, BeReal, etc.).
- Each photo or video submission can only be considered once (no need to upload the same content multiple times).
- Consent to submit from all parties pictured is required; by submitting for this contest, you release your photos and/or videos for use in future WorldStrides Canada marketing materials.
HOW TO ENTER
Entering to win is as easy as 1-2-3!
Step One: Click your link below:
Step Two: Create a Submittable account (or log in if you already have one!).
Step Three: Upload your photo or video and fill in a few simple details, like your name, travel destination, school name, and a short caption describing your submission. That’s it! Click “submit” and you’re done! You should receive an email confirming that your submission was received.
Be sure to get your entries in before 11:59 PM EST on June 30, 2025.
We will email all winners directly, but a lot of great runner-up submissions will also be featured on social media! Keep your eye on our Instagram and Facebook pages to keep up with all our favourites throughout the contest. (Hint: Some fun stuff will be happening over there, too!)
THE RULES
All submitted photos and videos must be taken during your WorldStrides Canada tour, with travel dates between September 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025. Only registered travellers, including tour participants, chaperones, and Program Leaders, may submit photos or videos. This contest is only open to legal citizens of Canada and the United States.
