Bring your ensemble to discover Mozart’s birthplace on an exciting performance tour through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Between performances, your musicians will see Neuschwanstein Castle, explore the Deutsches Museum, admire the snow-capped Mount Pilatus, and discover the picturesque streets of Lucerne.

Day 1
Overnight flight to Germany (Munich)

Arrive in Munich
Meet your Tour Director
Your 24-hour Tour Director will meet you at the airport and remain with your group until your final airport departure.
Munich Alstadt (Old Town) city walk
During this guided walk through Munich’s Old Town, students visit key landmarks and learn how the city developed over time. At Marienplatz, they view the Neues Rathaus and watch the famous Glockenspiel. The walk also includes stops at the Frauenkirche and the Hofbräuhaus, where students learn about Munich’s history, architecture, and local traditions.
Day 3
Hohenschwangau excursion
Visit the Bavarian village of Hohenschwangau and learn about Hohenschwangau Castle, the childhood home of King Ludwig II, with views of Lake Alpsee and the surrounding Alps. Then enjoy a scenic hike toward Neuschwanstein Castle and pause at Queen Mary’s Bridge for an unforgettable photo stop of the fairytale fortress and mountain landscape.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen excursion
Explore Garmisch-Partenkirchen, a traditional Bavarian alpine town, while learning about regional history and daily life. During a walk along Ludwigstrasse, observe historic buildings, local shops, and murals, and consider how geography, culture, and tourism shape life in the Bavarian Alps.

Day 4
Deutsches Museum visit
Learn about the history and progress of science and technology through state-of-the-art interactive exhibits in the world’s largest science museum, including the Mathematics Gallery.
Travel to Salzburg via Herrenchiemsee
Herrenchiemsee New Palace visit
Modeled on Versailles, this palace was built as a “Temple of Fame” for King Louis XIV of France, whom Bavarian King Ludwig II greatly admired. Highlights include the State Staircase, State Bedroom, and Great Hall of Mirrors. The king’s private rooms are found in the intimate Small Apartment, designed in the French Rococo style.
Day 5
Salzburg Cathedral visit
Explore Salzburger Dom (Salzburg Cathedral), world renowned for its 4,000-pipe organ. Often called the most perfect Renaissance building in the Germanic world, the cathedral features a striking marble façade and symmetrical twin towers.
Salzburg city walk
Explore Salzburg’s Old Town, a maze of winding lanes, historic steeples, cobblestone streets, and open squares. Take in the grandeur of Residenz Square and admire the striking façade of Salzburg Cathedral before continuing to Mozart Square, where a statue honours the city’s most famous son. As you explore, listen for the Glockenspiel, an early 18th-century carillon whose 35 bells ring out over the cafés lining the square.
Free time on Getreidegaße
Spend free time on Salzburg’s most famous street, the Getreidegasse, lined with small shops, historic buildings, and distinctive wrought-iron signs.

Day 6
Travel to Lucerne via Innsbruck
Innsbruck city walk
Explore Innsbruck’s Old Town (Altstadt), where clusters of white-stuccoed homes with rustic brown trim sit against a dramatic Alpine backdrop. At the centre of the cobblestone streets is the Golden Roof, its 2,657 copper shingles gleaming above the balcony where Emperor Maximilian I once stood with his beloved Bianca, vowing to remain together forever.
Day 7
Lucerne Tour Director-led sightseeing
Explore Lucerne with your Tour Director, set against the Alps and green pastures. Walk the Old Town’s cobblestones to Chapel Bridge, a 14th-century wooden bridge decorated with murals, and see the Lion Monument, a sandstone tribute to Swiss Guards lost in 1792. Visit the ornate Jesuit Church and take in the charm of Weinmarkt and Kornmarkt Squares.
Mt. Pilatus excursion
Scale snow-capped Mount Pilatus for sweeping views of Lucerne and the Alps. From May to mid-November, cruise Lake Alpnach before riding the world’s steepest cog railway; the rest of the year, ascend by cable car. At the summit, capture frame-worthy photos, and on clear days, enjoy vistas stretching up to 200 miles.

Day 8
Interlaken Tour Director-led sightseeing
On this Tour Director-led walk, stroll along the Hoheweg Promenade, once a vital trade route and now known for views of the Jungfrau region. Explore Interlaken, a town shaped by 19th-century tourism and alpine culture, then continue to Unterseen, the historic old quarter, where medieval buildings reflect Switzerland’s deep heritage.

Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance
Through the WorldStrides Canada Financial Assistance Program (FAP), we provide travel grants to elementary and secondary school facing financial hardship. These grants, which can be up to $250 for coach tours and up to $1,000 for flight tours, are designed to make our programs more accessible to students from all backgrounds. Interested families are encouraged to speak with their school to learn more about our confidential application process.

Monthly Automated Plan
Enroll with a deposit of $99 plus the cost of your travel protection plan (if included). We’ll automatically debit the rest of your tour fee from your chequing account in equal monthly payments, with the final payment due 35 days before you travel.
Please note: If two consecutive payments are declined, your account will be moved to the 4-Step Manual Plan.
4-Step Manual Plan
Manage your payments manually with a $249 initial payment plus your travel protection plan costs (if included). You’ll then make three more payments at key milestones as your departure date approaches. The final balance is due 65 days before your trip.
