Join young musicians from around the world to compete at the YoungBohemia Prague Festival, where choirs and orchestras can perform, build lasting connections with their international peers, and celebrate a shared love of music. Plus, experience Prague’s rich musical heritage through festival performances and events and get the chance to explore Central Europe from Vienna’s imperial landmarks and musical traditions to Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, and Old Town.

Day 1
Overnight flight to Austria (Vienna)

Arrive in Vienna
Meet your Tour Director
Your 24-hour Tour Director will meet you at the airport and remain with your group until your final airport departure.
Day 3
Vienna guided sightseeing tour
Explore Vienna’s imperial past with a guided visit to the Hofburg, the historic seat of the Habsburgs. Continue to the elegant Belvedere Palace before viewing the famed Vienna Opera House. Visit St. Stephen’s Cathedral in the heart of the city, then end your tour at Schönbrunn Palace, where young Mozart once performed for Marie Antoinette.
Viennese Waltz class
Discover the art of the Viennese Waltz during a fun, interactive dance lesson. Learn the basic steps, etiquette and traditions behind Austria’s most famous dance and experience a cultural pastime that has captivated Viennese society for generations.
Day 4
Musikverein guided visit
Visit Vienna's Musikverein, home to the world-famous Golden Hall, celebrated for its exceptional acoustics and as the home of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Discover one of the world's most renowned concert venues, including its impressive organ, rebuilt in 2011.
Haus der Musik visit
This interactive museum is located in the former home of Otto Nicolai, founder of the Vienna Philharmonic. Explore the lives of classical composers, compose your own waltz, and discover the science behind sound and hearing. Step onto a virtual conductor’s podium to lead the Vienna Philharmonic, and receive feedback from the musicians themselves.
St. Stephen’s Cathedral visit
One of Europe's greatest Gothic landmarks, St. Stephen's Cathedral is renowned for its remarkable wood carvings, altars, sculptures, and paintings. Discover the artwork depicting the 1515 double marriage of the Habsburg, Bohemian, and Hungarian dynasties that helped lay the foundation of the Austrian Empire.
Day 5
Travel to Prague via Melk
Melk Monastery guided visit
Visit Melk Abbey, a masterpiece of baroque architecture. Your tour includes the Marble Hall with its red marble pilasters and allegorical ceiling, the Library holding more than 80,000 volumes, and the Kaisergang lined with portraits of Austrian rulers. You’ll also see the Abbey’s musical archive, home to historic instruments and more than 10,000 works, including early manuscripts by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, and Schumann.
Day 6
Prague guided sightseeing tour
Explore Prague with a guided tour of Old Town Square and its famous Astronomical Clock, where carved figures appear each hour. Walk across Charles Bridge with views of the Vltava and the city’s spires, then stop at the John Lennon Peace Wall. Finish at Prague Castle, a vast complex of courtyards and palaces that once housed the Habsburgs.

Reception of leaders at Prague Town Hall
Massed performance
Experience the power of a combined ensemble as choirs and orchestras come together for a memorable collaborative performance.
Adjudicated performance
Perform for a panel of experienced adjudicators and receive constructive feedback. Available for competition category participants only.
Day 8
Choir and Orchestra performances
Parade performance
Share your ensemble's music with the city of Prague during a 20-minute marching performance through the heart of the historic city centre.
Festival Get-Together
Introduce your ensemble to fellow participants with a 3 to 5-minute presentation of your choice, such as a song, short performance, or welcome speech.
Awards Ceremony
Celebrate with new and old friends at your exclusive awards ceremony at Riverside Church. Choirs, orchestras, and bands are recognized for high scores within their class, along with standout individuals honoured for exceptional performances.
Day 9
Return home

Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance
Through the WorldStrides Canada Financial Assistance Program (FAP), we provide travel grants to elementary and secondary school facing financial hardship. These grants, which can be up to $250 for coach tours and up to $1,000 for flight tours, are designed to make our programs more accessible to students from all backgrounds. Interested families are encouraged to speak with their school to learn more about our confidential application process.
Payment Plans
Monthly Automated Plan
Enroll with a deposit of $99 plus the cost of your travel protection plan (if included). We’ll automatically debit the rest of your tour fee from your chequing account in equal monthly payments, with the final payment due 35 days before you travel.
Please note: If two consecutive payments are declined, your account will be moved to the 4-Step Manual Plan.
4-Step Manual Plan
Manage your payments manually with a $249 initial payment plus your travel protection plan costs (if included). You’ll then make three more payments at key milestones as your departure date approaches. The final balance is due 65 days before your trip.
Please note: Payments on this plan are not automatically deducted and must be made manually.
