Overview
Offer your talented musicians an authentic taste of Italian culture and history with an immersive tour through Rome and Naples. While offstage, your ensemble can look forward to visiting the most iconic spots of the Eternal City, touring ancient Roman temples and the ruins of Pompeii, and spending a day exploring the picturesque island of Procida. Your group will also enjoy a traditional trattoria dinner and learn how to make pizza.

Meet your Tour Director
Your 24-hour Tour Director will meet you at the airport and remain with your group until your final airport departure.
Rome city walk
Discover Rome’s iconic landmarks on a guided walk. At the Spanish Steps, see the “sinking ship” fountain, designed that way because of low water pressure that forced the artist to sink it below street level. Marvel at the Trevi Fountain’s Baroque grandeur, the Pantheon’s soaring dome, and Piazza Navona, where Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers anchors the bustling square.
Day 3
Ancient Rome guided sightseeing tour
Step inside the Colosseum with a licensed guide, once the stage for gladiators, naval battles, and wild beast hunts, and explore the underground chambers where animals were kept. Continue to the Forum Romanum, the hub of Roman politics, religion, and commerce. Conclude at Piazza Venezia, framed by its grand palaces and the striking Victor Emmanuel Monument.

Day 4
Gelato making demonstration and tasting
Watch a gelato-making demonstration at an authentic working gelato laboratory and learn the art of Italian ice cream. See how gelato is made before enjoying a tasting of some of your favourite flavours.
Rome band performance
Take the stage and perform for local audiences in a venue that captures the spirit of the city.
Day 5
Travel to Naples
Naples city walk - Bundle
Discover Naples on a guided walking tour through the heart of the city. See landmarks including Piazza Municipio, the Royal Palace (Palazzo Reale), Piazza del Plebiscito, the Fountain of the Giant, and Castel dell'Ovo while learning about Naples' rich history, culture, and waterfront setting.
Teatro di San Carlo guided visit
Built in 1737, Teatro di San Carlo is the oldest opera house in the world and the historic centre of Neapolitan opera. Rossini was once composer-in-residence here, while Donizetti, Bellini and Verdi all had works premiere at this stunning home of Italian opera. Please note that the theatre can only be visited at certain times due to performances.
Day 6
Naples band performance
Take the stage and perform for local audiences in a venue that captures the spirit of the city.
Sorrento excursion
Experience Sorrento, a cliffside town overlooking the Bay of Naples. Explore its historic centre, artisan workshops, lemon-scented streets and spectacular coastal views.
Day 7
Procida excursion
Board a ferry to Procida, the smallest island in the Bay of Naples, where colourful harbours, quiet streets and a relaxed seaside atmosphere offer a glimpse of island life. Explore its picturesque waterfront, browse local shops and cafés or simply enjoy views of the Mediterranean at your own pace.
Pizza-making class & dinner
Meet a professional pizza chef and learn the art of dough preparation, from rolling pin to hand stretching. Discover classic garnishes like tomato, basil, oregano, and mozzarella, then create your own masterpiece with toppings from the buffet and choose your cooking style on plate or stone. Mangia!
Day 8
Travel to Rome
Pompeii & Herculaneum guided excursion
Step back nearly 2,000 years on a full-day excursion to Pompeii and Herculaneum, two ancient Roman cities buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Explore remarkably preserved streets, buildings and remains while learning how Romans lived their daily lives. Discover how the eruption affected each city and how centuries of excavation have revealed their stories.

Return home

Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance
Through the WorldStrides Canada Financial Assistance Program (FAP), we provide travel grants to elementary and secondary school facing financial hardship. These grants, which can be up to $250 for coach tours and up to $1,000 for flight tours, are designed to make our programs more accessible to students from all backgrounds. Interested families are encouraged to speak with their school to learn more about our confidential application process.
Payment Plans
Monthly Automated Plan
Enroll with a deposit of $99 plus the cost of your travel protection plan (if included). We’ll automatically debit the rest of your tour fee from your chequing account in equal monthly payments, with the final payment due 35 days before you travel.
Please note: If two consecutive payments are declined, your account will be moved to the 4-Step Manual Plan.
4-Step Manual Plan
Manage your payments manually with a $249 initial payment plus your travel protection plan costs (if included). You’ll then make three more payments at key milestones as your departure date approaches. The final balance is due 65 days before your trip.
