Your 24-hour Tour Director will meet you at the airport and remain with your group until your final airport departure.
Madrid city walk
Discover Madrid’s lively spirit with your Tour Director on a walk through its bustling streets. Begin at Puerta del Sol, the vibrant city centre, then continue to Plaza Mayor, where centuries of history have unfolded from royal weddings to bullfights. Conclude at Plaza de España, a favourite spot for outdoor cafés and people-watching in the heart of the city.
Day 3
Royal Palace visit
Explore the 3,418 rooms of Europe’s largest royal palace. Admire grand halls adorned with priceless paintings and intricate details while learning about Spain’s monarchy. While the royal family resides elsewhere, the palace offers a remarkable glimpse into centuries of history, art, and tradition.
Reina Sofia Museum visit
Officially Spain’s National Museum of 20th Century Art, the Reina Sofía houses masterpieces by Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí. Its most famous work is Picasso’s Guernica, a powerful anti-war statement. Beyond the galleries, the museum also offers a vast library, archive, bookstore, and restaurant, making it a hub of art and culture.

Day 4
Travel to Zaragoza
Aljaferia Palace visit
Visit Aljaferia Palace, an 11th Century Arab castle and the largest surviving example of an Islamic/Spanish architecture from the Taifas period.
Parque de José Antonio Labordeta visit
Explore Parque de José Antonio Labordeta, Zaragoza’s largest public park. Cross the Huerva River and stroll Paseo San Sebastián, lined with ash, poplar, cypress, and magnolia trees. Continue to the Music Kiosk, where a cascading waterfall frames the statue of Alfonso the Battler.
Day 5
Travel to Barcelona
Barcelona guided sightseeing tour
Discover Barcelona with a licensed guide as you explore its mix of Gothic charm and modernist brilliance. Visit Plaza de España, then marvel at Gaudí’s Sagrada Familia, the soaring church that defines the city’s skyline. Wander through Park Güell with its colourful mosaics and sweeping views, and journey to Montjuïc Hill, home to historic fortresses and the 1992 Olympic grounds.

Palace of Catalan Music visit
Take a guided tour of this architectural masterpiece, considered one of the most remarkable achievements of the modernista movement. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, it was created by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, a contemporary of Gaudí, as a vibrant celebration of symbolism, colour, and craftsmanship.
Picasso Museum Barcelona visit
Take an unparalleled glimpse into the development of Picasso’s genius. Bringing together the Spaniard’s early and late works, the museum traces the evolution of Picasso’s art.

Museu de la Música de Barcelona visit
Explore the Museu de la Música, featuring unique instruments from around the world. While there, listen to samples as you walk around the instruments.

Day 8
Travel to Valencia
The city of Valencia sits on the Mediterranean south coast of Barcelona. Over the centuries it has been occupied by the Greeks, the Romans, and the Moors, and each group has contributed to the city's rich and distinctive culture. Valencia is surrounded by fragrant citrus groves and possesses its own local dialect of Valenciano.
L'Oeanograpfic visit
Discover Europe's largest marine park, showcasing over 500 species of fish and sea creatures from oceans around the globe. Wander through the mesmerizing shark tunnel and experience marine life firsthand at the interactive touch pool. Your visit will unveil a diverse array of marine wonders, from majestic whales to playful walruses.
Day 9
Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía visit
Take a guided tour through this landmark theatre designed by Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava. Its innovative design, along with its advanced technical and teaching facilities, makes it a leading venue for opera, musical, and theatre productions.
Príncipe Felipe Science Museum visit
Experience this dynamic museum, a leader in interactive science and one of Spain’s most visited attractions. Designed to spark curiosity and encourage critical thinking, its engaging exhibits explore science, technology, and the environment in ways that both surprise and inspire.

Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance
Through the WorldStrides Canada Financial Assistance Program (FAP), we provide travel grants to elementary and secondary school facing financial hardship. These grants, which can be up to $250 for coach tours and up to $1,000 for flight tours, are designed to make our programs more accessible to students from all backgrounds. Interested families are encouraged to speak with their school to learn more about our confidential application process.
Payment Plans
Monthly Automated Plan
Enroll with a deposit of $99 plus the cost of your travel protection plan (if included). We’ll automatically debit the rest of your tour fee from your chequing account in equal monthly payments, with the final payment due 35 days before you travel.
Please note: If two consecutive payments are declined, your account will be moved to the 4-Step Manual Plan.
4-Step Manual Plan
Manage your payments manually with a $249 initial payment plus your travel protection plan costs (if included). You’ll then make three more payments at key milestones as your departure date approaches. The final balance is due 65 days before your trip.
